Bereavement

Are there any specific services for bereavement of stillbirth, neonatal or child death?

One of the LIFE charity’s services is to offer counselling for women, men and families who have suffered after pregnancy loss.

The Child Death Helpline (0800 282 986) is a helpline for anyone affected by the death of a child of any age, from pre-birth to adult, under any circumstances, however recent or long ago.

The Compassionate Friends is a charitable organisation dedicated to the support and care of other bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents who have suffered the death of a child. Their helpline (0845 123 2304) is always answered by a bereaved parent.

Sands supports anyone affected by the death of a baby. Their support-line (020 7436 5881) offers someone to talk to, and their website is full of helpful information and advice.
