Where can I find support with a dual diagnosis?

Dual Diagnosis Practitioners are located in the three Community Mental Health Teams in St Helens, and access into services can be made through your GP or the Open Mind Service.

There are Dual Diagnosis groups that provide information and support to people who have been diagnosed with a severe mental health problem in addition to having a dependence on drugs and/or alcohol. Groups are informal and provide an opportunity to make friends, exchange information and offer mutual support. Meetings are user led and social activities and trips are regularly arranged.
